Deterministic Ethernet Networks, Standards and History (12 Feb 2014)

Ethernet has penetrated different time-, safety-, and mission-critical applications over the last 25 years. We will present on Ethernet evolution, its history in industrial applications and talk about Ethernet standards relevant for design of embedded systems and distributed controls. We will also address differences between mainstream Ethernet and industrial Ethernet variants.

Please join our webinar on "Deterministic Ethernet Networks, Standards and History".

AGENDA:

  • History: Ethernet in Critical Applications
  • Overview/Comparison IEEE802.1, industrial RT Ethernet, ARINC664 and SAE AS6802
  • Capabilities for time-sensitive (rate-constrained) and time-critical (synchronous) communication in Ethernet networks, distributed controls and advanced integrated architecturess
  • Q&A

(NOTE: you will receive webex access links per email 3-4 hours before webcast!!!)
